Proud to be an American

We spent out 4th of July quietly at home.  We had our friend, Melinda, over for a cook out and then Mommy & Madelynne went to watch the fireworks!!!  Daddy, Charlotte and Daisy stayed home because we weren't sure how Charlotte would do with the noise, plus she was exhausted and fell asleep before 8:00.  It was a fun and relaxing day!!!

Holy Cow she's 5 MONTHS old!!!

Time sure does fly by!!!  I can't believe that Charlotte is 5 months old already.  Hello, time could you please slow down and let my baby be a baby!!!  Charlotte is a fantastic baby!  She is full of smiles and giggles.  She loves to be tickled and will giggle forever!  She has been working on solid foods!  She wasn't a fan of rice cereal or bananas.  They really messed up her sleep schedule.  Not that she has a great one.  She still is getting me up during the night.  Most nights it is more like 4:30 or 5:30 in the morning.  She will throw in a 3:30 or even a 1:30.  Charlotte loves her big sister.  Her heads turns to where ever Madelynne is in a room.  Charlotte has been rolling for a couple of weeks.  She actually started rolling from her back to her tummy first!  She loves to be on her belly!  She also loves to play on her play mate and has been reaching for her toys!

Miss C's new seat!!!

It was getting almost impossible to get through dinner with Charlotte sitting in the bouncy seat.  She has out grown it with her long legs!!  We decided to pull out the high chair.  She LOVES to sit in there and munch some dinner or play with some toys while we are eating!!!!

Solid Foods....Yes or No!!!

We tried to start Charlotte on solid foods, but she wasn't having it.  We started with rice cereal and she hated it.  Plus, it totally interrupted her sleep schedule.  Not that she is a great sleeper anyways!

How do you like my crown??

If you have ever been to our house, you would already know that our oldest almost always walks around the house in a princess crown and her Rapunzel shoes.  Well, Miss M has decided that her little sister needs some training in the princess department.  I left the room to run into the kitchen and when I returned this is how our found little Miss C, or should I say Princess C!!!!

Strike a Pose!!

Madelynne absolutely LOVES to dance!  The other day, I was trying to get some new pictures of Charlotte when she started striking a pose.  It was too cute to pass up!!!

Flying High

Father's Day weekend the girls and I took Steven to the Air and Space Museum at Dulles International Airport.  We had a blast looking at all the old airplanes!  Madelynne and Charlotte enjoyed exploring the museum with their daddy!!!

Beautiful Babies

I absolutely love taking pictures of the girls.  Whether dressed alike or not, they are my best subjects!  Their smiles are contagious and make any bad day, a totally GREAT day!!!  As soon as I pick up my camera, Charlotte gets this grin on her face.  She loves to sit with her big sister!  Madelynne has to be in the mood for a picture.  Some times, I do get a little "anti" camera attitude, but in the end she cooperates and smiles so pretty!  Here are some of my favorites!!!!!

Miss Charlotte turns 4 months old!!!

Charlotte is 4 months old today and I can't believe it!!!  Some days I look at her and think about all the wonderful ways she has blessed our family.  She is an amazing baby.  She loves to giggle, especially at her big sister.  She is learning so many new things every day.  She loves to play on her play mat and reach for her toys.  She weighs 14 pounds 1 ounce and is 26 inches long.  She weighs the same as Madelynne did at this age, but she is 2 inches taller than Madelynne.  I could not believe it when the nurse told me how long she was at her appointment.  I think we are going to have some tall girls on our hands.

Picnic at the Park

Madelynne's preschool class had a final party together at our local park.  The weather was chilly, but the kids had a blast running around and playing on the playground together.  We all packed our own lunches and brought a dessert to share with everyone.  It was nice to get together with the kids and parents.  Luckily, three of the girls will be doing the same program with the same amount of days as Madelynne.  We all requested the same teacher and have our fingers crossed.  Madelynne's class went together and got Miss Mary a gift card and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

She use to be afraid of these slides, but now she LOVES them!
